Our hard-working FIRST Robotics Team achieved some great success at a competition in Livonia over spring break. The team was the runner up in the Livonia District Competition, along with the team’s alliance partners from Novi and Livonia,. Lakers came very close to winning! The last match game scores were 306 to 305, with the other alliance teams just beating our team by one point.
During competition matches, the robots operated via pre-programmed instructions (given by the team members) for the first 15 seconds. For the remaining 2 minutes and 15 seconds of the match, student drivers operated the robots on the field. The goal was to earn points by achieving specific tasks in the time allowed. Each team had alliance partners during every match.
“The team members worked hard and long over their spring break to prepare and practice with their robot for the Livonia competition,” said coach Scott Lebsack.
Here is a picture of our awesome Robotics team! Congratulations to all for all of their hard work during this season!
