The Laker Science Olympiad team had great success at an invitational hosted at Perry High School Jan. 13. The team took home its very first trophy at an invitational, ranking second place overall. Lakers was the only school at the invitational to compete in all 23 events and place in 22 of those events. Another first for the team was numerous individual events earning first, second and third place medals.
