The Laker Archery Club did a great job at the NASP World Tournament. On June 8, they competed with the best of the best. In 3D, they placed 14th and in Bullseye, they were 42nd. This is a first in Laker history. Top scores were led by Luke Edwards placing 15th in 3D and 11th in Bullseye. Camryn Mallory and Isaac Ward also added high scores for the team, both shooting over the 250 mark. Ava Gardy, new to the team this year, was the top female scorer for the team in both 3D and Bullseye. Sixteen elementary students from the club participated in the World Tournament. Their names and scores for 3D and Bullseye are as follows: Luke Edwards 274/285, Camryn Mallory 260/260, Isaac Ward 253/252, Jeffery Powell 230/245, Ava Gardy 222/258, Jacob Helmuth 229/212, Carson Hundersmarck 221/232, Nathan Michalski 219/231, David Kanaby 216/227, Ultan Dunn 218/224, Jalaena Edwards 213/219, Ashley Gentry 206/206, Jacob Herman 203/174, Anna Brooks 178/219, Oliver Haley 202/203, and Alivia Woolner 180/182. The team also had seven who competed in the World Centershot Tournament, in which they took home medals and a plaque for third place. A big congratulations to the whole team. They have worked diligently for the last six months. The coaches include Lyle Gascho, Brian & Audy Edwards, Shane Martindale, Joe Michalski and Brad Burk.
