Lakers would like to thank Pigeon Rotary. The community organization donated $2,000 to the Laker High School FIRST Robotics Club. The check was recently presented to the team.
“Since the FIRST robotics team started at Lakers, we’ve had local Rotarians interested in helping the team,” said Matt Schaefer, Pigeon Rotary president. “The Rotary Club of Pigeon had the opportunity to apply for a matching grant from the Rotary District and was awarded the grant last year. The Rotary Club of Pigeon is excited we’ve been able to receive a matching grant for a second year in a row to help the robotics team make their financial responsibilities in order to compete this year. We know the Lakers FIRST Robotics team puts in a tremendous amount of work and we wish them well in their upcoming season.”
