Lakers will be awarded $500,000 that will be used to equip our new Innovation Center with Fanuc robots and CNC equipment, a full Amatrol mechatronics lab, virtual welding trainers, 3D printers, laser engravers and more. This funding is part of a Marshall Plan grant, which was received by the Great Lakes Advanced Manufacturing Consortium, and Lakers is a part of this consortium. The consortium, which consists of six partners (including Lakers), received a total of $3 million, and this amount is being split between the members of the consortium.
“Special thanks to Tyler Williams, the Tower group in Elkton, Scott Miklovic, Jon Good, and our high school Tech Team for their roles in landing this prestigious award,” said Superintendent Brian Keim. “It’s a great day to be a Laker!”
