While they had to cut their trip short due to the cancellation of flights by the Chinese government, the Laker Elementary Chinese Teacher Exchange special guests Miss Alice and Miss Louise shared some very special times with Laker staff and students in late January and early February. They visited each elementary classroom and taught lessons in Chinese language and culture. The two young educators, who both teach at a school in Changchun, China, also learned about U.S. culture and education. On their last day here, Laker Elementary hosted a special assembly. Students held up banners that wished the visiting teachers well and stated that they would be missed. Dr. Bob Libka organized the exchange trip through his company, Attitudinal Dynamics International. Lakers is very thankful that we had this opportunity with Miss Alice and Miss Louise! Thank you, Dr. Libka, for arranging the exchange.
