Laker Elementary special education teacher Jill Reithel and Laker Secondary School English teacher Julie Stoyka each received a $300 grant courtesy of the Hebberd Insurance Agency in Bad Axe and the Meemic Foundation. Mrs. Reithel said she plans to use the grant for alternative seating in her classroom. Mrs. Stoyka said she plans to buy various supplies for her students to create projects.
