In a ceremony marked by pride, excellence, and scholarly achievement, the Laker High School Chapter of the National Honor Society proudly welcomed twenty-four new members into its distinguished ranks. The induction ceremony, held on November 13, 2023, was a celebration of academic prowess, leadership, service, and character.
The National Honor Society is a prestigious organization that recognizes outstanding high school students, and the Laker High School Chapter is thrilled to add these twenty-four exceptional individuals to its esteemed membership. The inductees were carefully selected based on their academic achievements, leadership skills, commitment to service, and exemplary character.
The National Honor Society induction ceremony was attended by proud parents, family members, friends, and fellow students, who joined in applauding the accomplishments of these outstanding individuals. The candlelit ceremony featured inspiring addresses showcasing the four pillars of NHS: Leadership, Scholarship, Service, and Character. Current NHS members: Kadie Jarson, Abigail Mattice, Madilyn Jimpkoski, Cassidy Fritz, Heidi Keim, and Grace Suggitt, were guest speakers during the ceremony. Madison Smith presented a special music vocal performance for the program.
Laker High School takes pride in nurturing well-rounded individuals, and the new NHS members embody the school’s dedication to fostering not only academic excellence but also the development of strong leaders with a heart for service.

The new inductees include: Maya Ashley, Aubree Bouck, Anna Brooks, Grant Buchholz, Caden Carriveau, Luke Good, Logan Hurren, Jeffrey Ignash, Lakyn Krohn, Sophia Mattice, Josiah Maurer, William Moreno, Anna Rochon, Madison Scaddan, Joshua Schaefer, Kaylee Shaw, Mariam Shupe, Gavin Smith, Sarah Steinman, Teryana Strickland, Coltyn Talaski, Karlie Warneck, Allison Williams, and Aubrey Zarnke.
