It gives us great pride to announce that our very own secondary school art teacher Ward Donovan has been selected to receive the Excellence in Education Award! This award is sponsored by the Michigan Lottery. Mr. Donovan received many online votes from throughout the community recognizing him as a teacher who makes a difference. As a result, Ward will be awarded a sum of $1,500 personally and another $500 to be used at his discretion at school. He will also be entered into a drawing with other recipients for a chance to win $10,000. Mr. Donovan will travel to Lansing on December 3 to do a videotaped interview. Congratulations to Ward Donovan!
